 Seasons of Slaughter (Open)
« Thread Started on May 29, 2008, 8:41pm »

Darkness had once again buried its clutches deep within the heart of daylight, vanquishing it upon the astral plains to make way for the soothing night. The sky becoming alive with the endless sea of stars each and every one battling for the honour of being the brightest of them all, yet none of these, could ever hope to bester the blissful glow of the silvery moon. Casting its pure white rays down upon the world, illuminating the Earth, as its light danced through the shadowy places of this vast and shattered metropolis. However the peaceful aura to be found within this seemingly calm and quiet night, was all but an illusion, one soon to be broken.

Amidst the crumbling ruins and ravaged homes bearing the signs of battle, there was a man, walking amongst the abandoned homes of the damned, dressed in silvery robes complete with cloak. His hair bearing the same colour, as the very light that revealed his ageless features. However all that could give away the mans eyes, was but an ominous azure glow, emanating from underneath his hood. Suddenly this elusive persona now ceased all movement, as a wide and truly sadistic smile was shown snaking its way down across his lips. One could only imagine the twisted and sinister thoughts running through his mind, that he would express himself in such a manner, however the reason behind this act, was soon to be revealed.

At the very moment the white haired figure stopped, there was a death chilling twist to be found in the air, a malevolent presence had suddenly risen in the vicinity, and from deep within the shadows surrounding the hooded individual, the source of the displacement chose to reveal itself. As if having been born from the very darkness itself, nine humanoid looking beings approached the man, carefully surrounding him. Their attire merely consisting of a blackened cloak, with the sound of armor being evident by that distinctive clanking sound following each step they took. These elusive beings might have appeared to be humans to the naked eye, but to Lihin... their nature, their intentions everything he wished to see was easily read like an open book with but one glance from his immortal eyes. These creatures, were of demonic origin, and their intentions were obvious even without the use of his sight... their cravings for blood and gore hung in the air. To a mere mortal such a foul presence would have no doubt caused one to break and fall to his knees in fear, but to Lihin.... such sensations were truly exhilarating. Thus the silence was broken, as he revealed the azure gem stones burning through the night like the very fires of hell underneath his hood, as he spoke towards the surrounding demons.

" 'Fallen knights of purest light, throwing this world into a pit of utter blight.'
You are no different then your exalted brothers within the Heavens, yet you were cast out..."

A small delightful chuckle is shown escaping his lips before continuing, his sadistic smile slowly evolving into an amusing smirk.

"Hehehe... Show a little love to your dogs or else they might bite you one day.. hahahahaha..... Alas I guess you never got the chance now did you...."

As Lihin finishes his statement, the rage and hunger to tear his body to pieces is rising rapidly from these creatures of the abyss, the waves of anger evaporating of their bodies… all this merely feeds the amusement of the white haired madman in the midst of the devils, as he embarks on another maniacal laughter before speaking yet again, his voice starting to twist and turn, revealing his desire for combat... eager to have them come at him with all might, that he may once again loose himself in such joyful bloodshed.

“Ah yesss feed me your hostility.... pierce me with your hatred hahahah…. aaaaahhhahahaha.….”

As his maddening cackle rung hollow across the ruins, the demonic minions of Lucifer slowly begins to ready themselves... their dark rune blades drawn, eager to spill the blood of the silvery cloaked man. Little did they realize that the battle about to unfold have already been decided, the pieces on the board have been set... their fate is sealed, these 'dogs'.. would fall.

Little did anyone know that fate had nothing to do with the impending death of the demons, nevermind the fact an onlooker was patiently waiting for the events to unfold in the distance. There was an oddity about the figure not unlike the one that radiated off the devil’s prey; a simple silence that evoked fear.

Kel Eligor, for the first time in an eternity, did not comprehend what he saw: Anima converged onto a single point around the silver-robed man, as a matter of fact, even its currents were diverted by the driving force in his aura. To his eyes, the man stood out like a midnight sun; a torchlight in the dark pitch of a cavern from which the flames flew in a strange, ominous manner, as if an invisible breeze rose about in the tunnels of the underworld. What he saw within the apparition was an image of sheer discord, chaos—a mirror.

Beyond everything, the notions of impossibility suddenly shifted in the Immortal’s mind, and he too was thrown into a dissonance of thoughts. Against his instincts to press on his march to meet the other face-to-face, he simply stood there, amazed by this discovery, his intent fixed upon seeing the parcels of a future that even he could not predict.

A single word echoed in his mind.

“Paradox…”
